Everyone thinks Twitter is dying so instead of mourning it the internet is making amazing jokes about it

Rest in peace to the greatest app on the internet. Or, well, maybe the most chaotic app on the internet. Well, actually. You know what? Those things aren’t mutually exclusive, right? Right.

Rest in peace to Twitter. Maybe. If this is the end, this run was fantastic. It was epic.

That’s right. You’re reading that correctly. It might actually be over for Twitter.

Let’s be serious for a second and look at how we got here. The company’s new big boss, Elon Musk, has reportedly temporarily closed all office buildings and suspended badge access for employees. according to Platformer‘s Zoë Schiffer.

Apparently, Musk was worried that some employees may try and sabotage the company.

You’re probably asking “Now, why on Earth would they do that?” It all stems from Musk’s “Twitter 2.0” edict, which is totally and completely ridiculous.

Musk reportedly sent out an email to employees giving them an ultimatum: Either work long, “hardcore” hours to create this new version of Twitter or leave. Obviously, many are choosing to leave. Hundreds have already reportedly resigned.

That leads us to where we are today. Twitter is in absolute shambles and nobody knows if it’ll actually exist tomorrow or the next day or even the next day.

And that’s why there has never been a better time to get these jokes off. And, boy, are they flying.

Twitter is an absolute madhouse right now and it’s perfect.

CHAOS. CHAOS. CHAOS. You absolutely love to see it. Thanks, Elon. It has been a blast.
