'Everyone on shooting drills for at least two hours a day' - Bristol City fans react to loss at Sheffield Wednesday

Results elsewhere in the Championship mean all is not lost for Bristol City , especially with Derby County coming to Ashton Gate on Saturday in what is almost a play-off elimination match.

But this 2-0 loss at Hillsborough has felt more of a drain on the collective confidence than the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa nine days ago. Granted, there was no referee to pin blame on, but City's lack of penetration in the final third was all too evident.

'Too quick to pull the trigger' - Bristol City player ratings after defeat against Sheffield Wednesday

The visitors did out-shoot Wednesday 13-10 but only four were on target and there was an overall feeling at Hillsborough that the Robins lacked conviction in their attacking approach.

After the match head coach Lee Johnson said: "I thought we played some good football, we were the side that played the better football but we gave ourselves a mountain to climb.

"We created numerous chances, numerous really good chances but we didn't take them. Simple as that. It's hard for me to criticise the players in terms of workrate. We played the better football but inevitably we didn't have the quality to finish our chances.

"Corner, free-kicks around the box, we were dominant but it's very difficult to keep going if you don't get the goal."

Here's a round-up of what the fans had to say on social media with three matches of the regular season remaining.
