Everyone makes the same joke about Ant and Dec after they were spotted at Newcastle game

Everyone was left making the same joke after Ant and Dec broke their unwritten rule on Sunday while watching their hometown heroes at Newcastle United.

The pair are very rarely spotted out of order - but that all changed at St James Park.

The Geordie presenters were seen the wrong way round, temporarily becoming Dec and Ant during the weekend Premier League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Having initially started out sat just in front of the club's new order in the right way, the cameras cut to the duo while Spurs were 3-1 ahead looking far more glum.

It had started out with a party atmosphere in the north east as fans celebrated the club's mega money takeover.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund purchased Newcastle from Mike Ashley, who was hugely unpopular at the club.

Fans couldn't ignore one thing.

One wrote on twitter: "All that money at Newcastle has clearly fried Dec and Ant's minds!"

Another said: "Is this the end of Ant and Dec as we know it?"

A third blamed them for the defeat, joking: "Do you think they would have won if they sat the right way around?"

Newcastle took the lead inside the first five minutes through Callum Wilson, but goals from Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min put the away side clear before Eric Dier's own-goal gave the Toon hope late on.

As lifelong fans of the club, it was no surprise the presenters were in the stands to cheer on the side for their first game under the new ownership.

They didn't appear too disheartened as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

"Great to be back in the Toon for an electric atmosphere. Onwards and upwards. Better days to come."

Turning their attention to the drama off pitch, they added: "Also, sending our best wishes to the supporter who took ill during the game. Get well soon."
