Everyone made the same hilarious ‘Simpsons’ joke about the Broncos getting sold

The Denver Broncos have been sold for an absurd amount of money.

The reported amount: $4.65 BILLION! And the franchise is being bought by the Walton-Penner group, which includes Rob Walton, the heir to Walmart, Carrie Walton Penner (his daughter) and her husband Greg.

That had a lot of people on Twitter making the same joke: In the classic Season 8 episode of The Simpsons known as “You Only Move Twice,” Homer and the family move to Cypress Creek. He works for supervillain Hank Scorpio and mentions his dream is to someday own the Dallas Cowboys.

But when Homer gets back to Springfield, Scorpio has bought the Denver Broncos for him.
