Everyone is saying the same thing about Jamie Lee Curtis' hilarious encounter with Irish fan

Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis has shared a hilarious video of her meeting a fan in Ireland which has everyone saying the same thing.

The actress, 63, was in Dublin over the weekend ahead of the Irish release of her latest movie Halloween Ends - the finale of the Halloween movie series.

She appeared on RTE's Late Late Show on Friday, where she told host Ryan Tubridy of her love of Irish people, describing them as "the nicest people on Earth", and the next day she was out and about on the capital's streets.

Jamie Lee posted a clip on her Instagram of herself meeting a fan on Grafton Street which had people in stitches.

In the video, Jamie Lee films herself talking to a woman named Margaret, saying: "Hi it's Jamie Lee Curtis, I’m with my new friend Margaret McNamara, who just said to me…”

Margaret finished off the sentence, adding: “Wonderful, Halloween, wonderful, congratulations.”

The actress then pans the camera up to show off a poster for her movie Halloween Ends on a nearby billboard saying: "Look what's up on the wall."

Jamie Lee attempts to finish the clip there, saying: "Happy Halloween everybody, from me, from Ireland, two weeks."

Margaret continues talking, telling the Hollywood actress: "Great to meet you. You said wonderful stuff last night [on the Late Late Show]. Absolutely wonderful."

Jamie Lee replies, speaking about Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy, saying: "Wasn't he lovely?"

"Yea he's good alright, he's funny," agrees Margaret.

Margaret continues: "Thank you, don't want to take up your time now, you are a busy person. You're children are all married so you're grand."

Jamie Lee uploaded the hilarious interaction to her Instagram page, with the caption: "FK HALLOWEEN, MY CHILDREN ARE ALL MARRIED SO I'M GRAND!"

People were quick to comment below the video, with Bray TV presenter Laura Whitmore describing the exchange as "so Irish" alongside a laughing emoji - which everyone else in the comments agreed with.

Another person commented: "I don't want to take up your time" so so Irish.

A third joked: ""Don't want to be taking up your time" aka, ive the groceries to be getting Jamie can we move this along please."

A fourth person said: "An Irish conversation can go anywhere", while another added: “Margaret’s accent is the bee's knees.”

Jamie Lee later raved about the interaction with Irish fans on the street, writing on Instagram: "Honestly MAYBE my favorite moment of the ENTIRE @halloweenmovie world tour."

Halloween Ends is out in Irish cinemas on October 14.
