Everyone hilariously made fun of Max Kellerman after Andre Iguodala air-balled a potential game-tying shot

What player would you want to take the final shot in an all-or-nothing game of basketball?

That’s a universal fun question that basketball fans ask each other all the time.

If you were picking from today’s players, you’d probably say someone like Kevin Durant or LeBron James or Steph Curry. Maybe even someone like Nikola Jokic.

But years ago, for one Max Kellerman, it was apparently…Andre Iguodala? Yup, Andre Iguodala. Max has had plenty of bad takes before, but this one was definitely up there.

He said he’d take Iguodala over Curry for that last shot in an alien invasion with a laser beam pointed at the Earth. This is a thing he really said. Honest.

We actually got to see that play out on Tuesday, though. With a chance to tie the game in the final seconds against the Denver Nuggets, Iguodala hoisted up a 3-pointer…that wound up being an air-ball.

Now, this is totally fine with no context. But we have plenty of context here and that makes this absolutely hilarious. Thankfully, there were no laser beams pointed at the Earth here.

There were plenty of Twitter jokes for Kellerman, though. Deservedly so. This was perfect.
