Aliens, beware. There’s another group of basketball All-Stars reportedly signing up to beat you in a winner-takes-all game in Space Jam 2.
(We have no idea what the plot of the upcoming LeBron James flick is, but it’s got to be along the lines of the original Michael Jordan movie, right?)
Per The Athletic’s Shams Charania, there will be “key roles” for new Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, plus Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Diana Taurasi and sisters Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike. He also said “several” other hoops stars from the NBA and WNBA will be in the movie starring and produced by James.
Of course Twitter broke out the jokes, ranging from how Davis will waive his trade bonus but will be paid the same amount to star in the movie to what Thompson’s role will be:
