Everyone From Meryl Streep To Alix Earle Is Rocking This Supremely Comfy Aussie Footwear Brand

More and more celebrities are taking notice of Australian brands and the quality pieces they have to offer. From Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner posting to their socials in our most Instagrammable activewear brand, CSB, to Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber all being spotted in Pinterest-worthy With Jéan, the global it girls are finally realising our local labels are worth their time. And there’s one particular brand that’s turning the heads of anyone and everyone from Alix Earle to Meryl Streep.

The label in question? None other than podiatrist-founded shoe brand, Bared Footwear.

While on the New York leg of the press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Miss Miranda Priestly herself was papped in the Aussie shoe brand. Her stylist, Micaela Erlanger, dressed her in Bared’s Mino Black Leather Hardware Heeled Boot ($389), a pointed, black heeled ankle boot littered with silver stud hardware.

She appeared on SiriusXM’s Front Row with co-star Anne Hathaway and TV host Andy Cohen, with her shiny, unmissable boots sitting pretty at the bottom of her outfit.

Bared Footwear’s appearance in Streep’s stylish suite of The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour looks comes one week after influencer Alix Earle was spotted wearing the brand’s boots at Coachella. She styled the Hillstar Black Leather Knee High Boot ($489) on day one of the festival’s first weekend with a vintage Roberto Cavalli animal print corset and cut-off black denim mini shorts.

If the boots can withstand a 12+ hour day at a music festival, you best believe these are built for comfort.

From music festival-maximalist to considered press tour dressing, the brand’s got range!

These two aren’t the only household names and up-and-coming celebrities who have been seen in Bared Footwear over the past year. Kate Hudson, Jameela Jamil and Dylan Mulvaney have also been seen styling shoes from the footwear brand, proving the rest of the world is finally catching onto Australia’s great style.

What Makes Bared Footwear So Special?

Bared Footwear is founded by podiatrist-turned-entrepreneur Anna Baird. The brand is all about crafting supportive shoes that don’t compromise style in exchange for comfort, using a biomechanical footbed to provide cushioned comfort to areas of the foot that need it most: the heel and arch of the foot.

Most of the brand’s shoes also come with a ‘Fit Kit’, a bag packed with a thinner footbed in case the default one means the shoe fits too tightly for you, and forefoot padding if your shoes feel too roomy.

As an owner of Bared Footwear ballet flats and heeled boots, I can speak from experience when I say these are the comfiest shoes I’ve ever owned. Yes, the heels are included in that. The cushioning and arch support alleviates the weight off my toes, so I’m not left hobbling by the end of the day.

We’re so glad the rest of the world has finally caught onto the good that our local brands are doing.
