Everyman Cinemas has unveiled a bumper line-up for its 2019 Music Film Festival, taking place in May.
The event, which takes place for the fifth time this year, will showcase a series of music documentaries and feature films across the group’s cinemas in London and beyond.
A host of after parties, DJ sets and even a rave are also being organised as part of the festival.
Highlights this year include a screening of BEATS at Everyman Kings Cross on May 9, followed by an afterparty. The new movie, produced by Steven Soderbergh, follows two friends from a Scottish town in the mid 90s, who go to an illegal rave together before life takes them in different direction. After the screening, guests will be invited to step into their world, with a party at nearby cocktail bar Supermax.
The festival will also host the UK premiere of Teen Spirit, the hotly-anticipated directorial debut from Max Minghella, starring Elle Fanning and Rebecca Hall, across a host of venues on May 20.
A screening of biopic Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don’t Know Me and a Q&A with director Olivia Lichtenstein will take place on May 14 and 15. There will also be a screening of the upcoming Elton John biopic Rocketman, starring Taron Egerton, on May 24, 25 and 26.
