Everybody loves Liverpool's Mohamed Salah but this seems harsh on Nat Phillips

What is it about West Ham United, Mohamed Salah and breakaway goals for Liverpool?

The Egyptian was at it again on Sunday when applying the finishing touch to a breathtaking counter-attack that helped the Reds on their way to a 3-1 triumph at the London Stadium.

It was Salah's second goal of the game, with Gini Wijnaldum adding another as Jurgen Klopp's side moved up to third place in the Premier League table.

Yours truly was on ratings duty for the ECHO and it wasn't hard to pinpoint the game's stellar performer.

Salah earned the top score of 9 but he had an impressive supporting cast.

Nat Phillips, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Wijnaldum all scored 8.

In fact, nobody registered lower than 7.

What everyone else said

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media were in agreement over who deserved praise.

The Mirror ranked Salah best on 8 while Alisson Becker, James Milner, Curtis Jones and Divock Origi scored only 6, surprisingly the same score given to Phillips.

The Mail do things by halves and put Salah top on 9 with Jones next on 8.

The Independent regarded Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Wijnaldum all top on 8 with Xherdan Shaqiri and Origi lowest with 6.

Making another guest appearance, Sky Sports considered Salah ahead with 9 with Alisson, Andy Robertson, Milner and Origi on 6.

Meanwhile, The Times believed Salah best on 9 although Wijnaldum, Thiago, MIlner, Alisson and Origi scored 6.

Finally, the number-crunchers at WhoScored.com calculated Salah was best on 8.94 with Thiago Alcantara next on 7.84.
