Everybody loves Liverpool's Jordan Henderson - but what's happened to Gini Wijnaldum?

It's probably wrong to say it was never in doubt.

But there was a certain sense of inevitability about the manner Liverpool moved back to the top of the Premier League table on Friday.

A 3-1 win at Southampton was earned by late goals from Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson, continuing the trend of Jurgen Klopp's side finishing games strongly during the run-in.

And both players ranked highly in the ECHO ratings by yours truly from St Mary's.

The top score of 8 was shared by Salah and Roberto Firmino, while Henderson was among a group of players to be rated 7.

At the other end of the scale, Gini Wijnaldum, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson scored 5.

Liverpool fans were pretty much in agreement, but scored Henderson top with an average of 8.0 ahead of Salah on 7.8.

Last was Wijnaldum on 5.3. Maybe it's time to give the Dutchman a breather.

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media were happy to hand out the high scores to Liverpool's forwards.

The Mirror had Salah, Keita and Mane top with 7 but Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Van Dijk only scored 5.

The Daily Star had Salah best on 8 ahead of a clutch of players on 7.
