Everybody loves Liverpool's Fabinho - but what has Alisson Becker done to deserve this?

It was enough to send Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola into meltdown.

Liverpool's dramatic 3-1 victory over the Premier League champions at Anfield on Sunday saw them open up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

There were enough talking points in the game to sustain an entire series of a City documentary on Amazon Prime.

But how did Jurgen Klopp's players perform?

Yours truly was once again on ratings duty and chose Fabinho as the best on display, handing the Brazilian a 9.

There were seven players who scored 8.

Reds fans voting on the ECHO website concurred Fabinho was the most impressive Liverpool performer, scoring him an average of 9.0.

Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk all scored at least 8.0.

Roberto Firmino was lowest of the starters with 7.5, which on any other day would be a pretty good score.

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media were pretty much in agreement over who to praise.

The Mirror considered Fabinho best with 9 ahead of Salah on 8. Firmino scored 6.

The Mail do things by halves and had Fabinho and Henderson top with 9. Robertson came next on 8.5.

The Daily Star had Fabinho, Salah and Robertson leading the way with 8. They also gave Alisson a paltry 1 out of 10, which presumably is a mistake. You'd like to think so, anyway.

The Express thought Fabinho was best on 9, but Alisson and Alexander-Arnold scored just 6.

The Independent had Fabinho top on 9 ahead of six players on 8.

Meanwhile, The Times ranked Fabinho, Robertson and Alexander-Arnold all in the lead with 8. Everyone else scored 7.

Finally, the number-crunchers at WhoScored.com calculated Salah was top on 7.9 but Alexander-Arnold was lowest of the starters on 6.73.
