Everybody loves Liverpool's Andy Robertson but what's the problem with Jordan Henderson

If social media was any barometer, several Liverpool fans watching at home were turning the TV over when Adam Lallana was brought on.

They would end up, presumably a good few hours later, being pleasantly surprised when discovering the Reds midfielder had popped up for this first goal since May 2017 to earn Jurgen Klopp's side a hard-earned 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday.

It wasn't Liverpool's finest performance, but they avoided defeat to now stand six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Yours truly was on ratings duty at Old Trafford and didn't score anyone more than 7.

Substitutes Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, along with Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk, all shared the top score.

At the other end of the scale came Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson on 5.

Liverpool fans voting on the ECHO website decided Lallana's late cameo was enough to be the top scorer, ahead of Van Dijk, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Robertson.

Struggling, though, were Henderson on 4.7, who was below Divock Origi, who averaged 4.8.

Bit harsh, you lot.

What everyone else said

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media similarly didn't think there was a single Liverpool performance worthy of an 8.

The Mirror had a clutch of Liverpool players on 7 - Matip, Robertson, Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Henderson was lowest with 5.

The Mail do things by halves and had Robertson top on 7.5 with Matip, Van Dijk, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana scoring 7. Origi and Wijnaldum registered just 5.5.

The Express ranked Robertson, Lallana and Wijnaldum on 7, while Henderson scored just 4.

The Star weren't impressed with the Reds, Lallana and Fabinho scoring 7 with several players on 5.

The Independent also didn't like Liverpool's performance, Robertson and Mane notching 7 and five players mustering a mere 5.

Meanwhile, The Times considered Wijnaldum, Alisson, Van Dijk and Robertson as joint best on 7.

Finally, the number-crunchers at WhoScored.com calculated Robertson top on 7.79 with Origi the lowest-ranked starter on 6.24.
