Every word West Ham boss David Moyes just said on VAR, handball, Fabianski and more

David, only one place to start, the ending to the game

It was a deserved equaliser.

A good goal to me. I'm new to the game in the last year and a half and it looks a good goal to me.

Declan does great, goes through the middle, does everything right and a good pass, finish, looked a good goal to me.

Have you seen a replay?

I have.

And?

It still looks a really good goal to me.

You play football, you're a football man, that can only be a goal.

Declan bursts through, the defender does well to get back, heads it against his hand.

I don't know, it used to be we were taught that the defenders had to put their hands behind their backs, do all the players on the pitch now need to? You can't get away, you run using your arms.

Good goal.

Robert Snodgrass celebrates after putting the ball in the net before the goal is ruled out by VAR (Oli SCARFF / AFP)

Performance warranted a draw?

It was a good performance.

It was certainly worthy of a point, if not more.

Any update on Lukasz Fabianski?

It looks like a recurrence of his old injury. I couldn't tell you at the moment but he'll get the tests done tomorrow.

How do you think Sebastien Haller played?

I've been impressed by how he played in the games. He scored a good goal the other week, we're trying to get more support around him with Manu [Lanzini] and Felipe [Anderson]. I thought he had some good chances in the first half, so overall I have been pleased.

In terms of the team, this is a setback though?

I have to say, we came tonight and put in a good performance. We had good periods of play, what we lacked was our finishing.

If there is a criticism, I'd be looking at we didn't take our one v one chances.

What are you going to do with the goalkeeper situation?

It's something we will have to look at.

We kneed to see how Lukasz is, how bad it is, but it is something we are going to have to address.

David Martin, unfortunate error from him

We've seen it happen before.

It is something that we will practice and get better at. It was just at the wrong moment, we were not set to take it and just didn't get it right.

Sticking with five at the back?

We will see.

We were only really stretched when we were chasing the game and needed to score and keep going but I would say I will look at keeping it, when I think it's right.

Tonight, because of the way they play, we needed that extra defender because Sheffield United started well.

We grew into the game and got better.

Back to the VAR...IFAB need to listen to managers and players more?

I think they do.

We need to try and get them to change this ruling. You can say they are trying to change the offside ruling as well. We aren't comfortable with it.

There is part of it where it can hit a defenders arm and it wont be a penalty. I could argue it wasn't even in the same phase, Declan broke through, then it hit his arm, then he went on again, then there were three defenders behind the balll.

We've been unlucky there We warranted a goal.

Id be surprised if there wasn't people in IFAB that weren't ex-managers and players but this is a rule that no-one is enjoying. Quite a few of them.
