West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has provided an honest and frank interview after his side's controversial loss at Sheffield United.
The Hammers thought they had equalised in injury time thanks to Robert Snodgrass' goal but it was disallowed after VAR spotted a handball by Rice.
Oli McBurnie's right-footed strike in the second half ended up as the winner but West Ham fans will feel frustrated at the way the contest finished at Bramall Lane.
VAR was essentially doing its job when it adjudged Rice to have committed a handball in the penalty area, something which ruled out Snodgrass' effort.
Instead, it's the changing of a rule which now means that even non-deliberate handballs can lead to disallowed goals.
This is a rule which has been in play since the beginning of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign but Rice was also quick to hit out at VAR after an endless list of controversial decisions this season.
"We are fuming really. We are livid. It's a tough place to come and they have been excellent," Rice told Sky Sports. "They ground it out but we did well. We missed some chances. The goal at the end is tough to take."
Asked if he thought he'd touched it initially, Rice added: "No. I just watched it back. He's knocked the ball into my hand. He's headed the ball into my hand. The rule is handball but I have not intentionally touched it. It's a real kick in the teeth.
"I don't think anyone wants to have VAR in the game. They are celebrating VAR like its a goal. That shouldn't happen.
"I just can't get over it. The way he's knocked it into my hand.
"That would have been a great point on the road. I was thinking it's a great goal. We were buzzing. Now I'm gutted."
