Are you pleased and proud of your players for the resilient performance tonight?
Yeah it’s been 10 years I think since we won here. It’s a really important results for the club for our fans and as well for our players because I think they showed how much they mean it. The spirit and the attitude among the group and how much they care about it.
Was that a determined reaction from the players to show in a big game how important it was for them?
Yes, probably for the outside what it is. They don’t have to show anything to me because I see them every day how they prepare, how much they care, how passionate they are and how much they try. But I think from the outside probably yeah it looks like a big message.
Do you feel as if a European place is still open for you?
Well it’s mathematically possible. We keep saying that so we have to give ourselves the best chance till the last game to see if that’s achievable.
You still have an outside chance of Europe this season but how much have you got one eye on next season and did we see some signs of that tonight?
What we’re trying to do is prepare the best possible way to win every game with the players that we have, with the amount of games they’ve played and how much they’re trying. Next season will be a different season. We have to focus on trying to do the best because it will have an impact on next season.
