Every word Mikel Arteta just said on Granit Xhaka, Jorginho and the dramatic loss to Chelsea

I'm sure you feel that you deserved more from the game?

"Yes, I am really disappointed with the result and the way we conceded the goals and the timing of them as well. I'm pleased with a lot of things I've seen and I' pleased with things that we trained that actually happened in the game and how they buy into this.

"But I'm disappointed to lose the game. We have to sustain that level for longer periods against a very physical team like Chelsea and yes, we have to move on."

What do you put the individual errors down to, lack of concentration?

Mikel Arteta praises Mesut Ozil

"I don't think so. We were pretty comfortable even when we were defending much deeper than I like, I cannot think of any clear chances for Chelsea before that.

"It's decision making, it happens. It'll happen again for sure but against these types of opposition, you get punished.

Should Joringho have been on the pitch?

"I think that's up to you guys to decide."

I'm interested in what your opinion?

"For me it was very clear, that's it."

Do you blame your team?

"No, it's not that I blame my team. We are responsible for the things we did wrong on the football pitch, the decisions we didn't get right. The other things, we cannot control them or change them."

There were a lot of yellow cards at that seemed the most obvious?

"I prefer not to respond, thank you."

Was you slightly naive for the winner, pushing forward?

"I think we moved the structure really well. We had more numbers than the opponent, we are in complete control - I think it's a five against three - and that's the structure we need to control those situations.

"Then, we stepped back and they are really good in transitions."

What was Bernd Leno's reaction?

"He will be down. When an error costs the team points, it's harder so we'll have to lift him. He's done a really good job since he joined this football club and we have to respect that. We need him on board, bring the confidence back and that's it."

Could you engage Chelsea further up the pitch?

"More than to do with the organisation, it was physically tough to maintain that Chelsea play at, at the moment. We are asking them to play at a different pace and be much more aggressive and at the moment, they suffered.

"We have a lot of injuries, young players as well, we're putting demands on them. I don't think they didn't want to do it or they were scared, I think it was the physicality of the game."

Freddie Ljungberg watched from the directors box, is that a permanent role for him?

"I want him to have a different view from us and communicate with us all the time and it's important that he sees things from a different angle at the moment."

Are Arsenal going from challenging for the Champions League to avoiding a relegation battle?

"We have to go day by day and step by step and I don't want to make any predictions."

Can you explain what's happening with Granit Xhaka?

"He played well at Bournemouth and was very committed. After the game, he started to feel ill with a temperature and the last two days he's been in bed. That's why he wasn't selected.

Do you think he will leave in January?

"I hope not."

What's wrong with Calum Chambers?

"The doctors are assessing him. The first feeling he got wasn't very positive."
