Every word Marcelo Bielsa said on Hernandez, promotion and emotions following last-gasp Swansea City win

The Premier League is in reach for Leeds United after a last-minute Pablo Hernandez strike sealed a 1-0 win at Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.

With three fixtures remaining Leeds are three points clear of second-placed West Brom and six clear of Brentford in third. Just four points from the nine on offer will ensure the club are back in the Premier League next season.

Following the last-gasp win at the Liberty Stadium, Bielsa gave his usual post-match press conference via a video conference call.

Here is every question and answer in full.

It was very difficult, but how significant do you feel that result is?

The match was very close, very narrow. Few chances. When the match progressed our possibilities were growing. The last 30 minutes I think we deserved to impose to score and get the difference we got at the end.

Is it even more important after having to play this game after devastating news about Jack Charlton? Does it make you feel better you were able to achieve this result?

They are different feelings. I don’t want to take the risk of talking about the victory and the loss of one person. I don’t want to link those two things. In any case, the fact we won avoided the situation to have two bits of sad news at the same time.

Was it just Hernandez's influence or were there other things that made Leeds win that game in the second half?

In the second half we improved the offensive play. Ayling had more impact. The right side arrived to long spaces, and Pablo moved in this sector as well. And in the left, even if we didn’t get damage, Alioski and Harrison in attack in the second half gave more continuity than Dallas and Harrison in the first half. We had more movements in the second half.

Kalvin Phillips was heavily strapped. He played the game, but will he be ok for Thursday?

Yes, we think he will be able on Thursday. We have four more days yet, so  we have time to verify and analyse the situation.

The supporters are obviously going through a range of emotions and feeling at the minute - what emoitions are you and your players going through?

More than feeling what we feel, is we are more relaxed, more light, because we are giving the steps that we had to. Of course, when you score at the end of the match it’s a higher feeling, emotion. But the bigger emotion, we didn’t get this at the moment.

Has Mateusz Bogusz impressed you impressed in training to earn his place in today's squad?

He is growing in training. He's an offensive playmaker. I thought he would be an option for today's match. He is more offensive than Shackleton and Gotts. For this reason, I considered him in case we needed him in the match.

Can you explain why you changed your mind with the last substitution with Berardi instead of Douglas?

When I decided on the change, they were going to play with three attackers. When Douglas was at the line, we saw that Andre Ayew was a second striker and not a winger. In this moment I realised this. Ayew is a great header and he was going to play in the centre and not in the side. Our best header we had on the bench at this moment was Berardi. I thought it was better that Berardi played close to Cooper as a third centre-back. Douglas is a full-back and has more impact opening the pitch and not narrowing the pitch. That was what I thought and for this reason I changed my decision when I realised this situation.

What memories do you have of Jack Charlton? Does anything stand out as a player or a manager?

Not really. I just know the situation a little bit. I didn't know him a lot, so I prefer not to comment. Of course the legends of the club deserve the big attention from us.

Are you able to enjoy this at the moment?

No, I cannot enjoy this. What you feel is that you are giving a step forward. The only thing I can enjoy is the last objective if we get it.
