Every word Jose Mourinho said on Son injury, VAR, handball and his dig at Manchester United

What did you make of the performance and that handball decision right at the end?

My team did a fantastic match, I cannot ask more from the players. Their goalkeeper was phenomenal. I cannot ask more from my players. We kept them away from the special box and we couldn't do more than what we did.

The team played very very well. It was a very complete match, offensively and defensively. No problem defensively, we created a lot of chances. Really, really good, I'm very happy with the performance.

And that handball decision?
I don't want to comment, I just don't want to.

Do you a message for the International Football Association Board who changed that handball rule?

I don't have a message, I don't have a message.

Roy Hodgson said it's ruining football?

Mr Roy is our boss, the man with more experience, the man with the age, the man in the Premier League I always consider the eldest one, the boss, he has the status, the knowhow, respected by everyone. I live on him.

With handballs being given that easily, do you feel that will become a tactic in football to try to boot a ball into the box and try to hit a hand?

Easily for some.

Is that a shame when you've played so well for 90 minutes to get hit by someone being as direct as that?

You don't want me to criticise Newcastle do you?

I'm talking about generally in the game?

The only thing I can say is that we played very well. We played very well. It's the only thing I can say. The players played very well.

It looked like your goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos got sent off after the final whistle. It was a bit confusing, can you shed some light on what happened?

The only thing that I know is that I'm more experienced than him and I left down the tunnel when the referee blew the whistle for the last time.

I know that in some matches at some clubs, even after the last whistle, it's possible for something important to happen, but for us I knew that after the last whistle it was over for us and I left for the dressing room. So Nuno a little bit more naive than me and he stay there.

Was the Son substitution planned or an injury?

Injured.

Do you expect to miss him for a long time?

Yes.

What kind of injury was it?

Hamstring.
