You must be pleased with the win?
Really we can be happy. I think our idea, our gameplan on the pitch was knowing it's going to be tough.
We needed to adapt to their gameplan: long ball, second actions, their pushing and high pressing. We had to enforce our gameplan.
We won in our moments where we did the difference for 2-1. In a lot of moments we couldn't impose our gameplan because they pushed and their gameplan was a struggle for us.
Can you talk about the debutants and how they endeared themselves to the fans?
We wanted to create a big atmosphere here with our supporters and do that way our season. The new players impacted it here today.
We created that atmosphere with other players, for example [Joe] Willock I think played very well. We can also say to the young players that they have the chance to play and need to make this step. He did.
With other players, we can speak about all the team. We worked together with individual capacity and quality but above all thinking like a team. We also created something special with our supporters in the Emirates.
What has Ceballos brought to your midfield?
With him it's about using his quality in the best position. I spoke with him before he came here, it's to play as a No.8 and a No.10.
Today he started like a No.10 but also changed with Willock in the No.8 position. It's where he can feel better on the pitch.
How different does it feel having six points at this stage of the season compared to zero last?
36 matches to play. We started with two victories, last year we started with two losses. After for example we progressed well in the table.
Our challenge is each match. We are happy, we are with six points. Next week we are going to play against Liverpool, a big challenge.
Being in this position is better but the difficulty is coming each match. We want to be competitive and consistent in our way. We did that in two matches.
We know we need everybody, we need a big spirit, to be competitive individually. Being positive and realistic, it is going to be tough.
Will you keep trust in the players playing so well?
One thing we wanted to improve is to be competitive in each position in the squad. For example today Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin are out.
We have different options with big performances. When every player is good to play then perfect.
But the way is long, the season is long. Different issues and circumstances are coming for each player. We need to be competitive.
Last year we lost some points at moments where we didn't have different possibilities for some matches. This year I prefer to have important players on the bench with the possibility to have good impact after. The team is going to be more competitive, that's always my idea.
Do you have any complaints over the disallowed goal from VAR?
For me VAR is positive. When they are checking I think it's because they need it. After the decision is going to be correct.
Burnley made you work hard today
Their structure and gameplan is very strong, we needed to adapt to that. After we needed to impose our capacity, quality, skills and structure. I think we did that.
Today if we take off the result we can do better. After Lacazette and Aubameyang scoring is amazing, Pepe's impact is very good.
He has been with us only two weeks, he needs more to fit in. I spoke with him yesterday on how he is feeling every day with us, he's feeling progressively better. He needs more. Today 45 minutes for him is perfect.
