Liverpool require no reminding as to how frustrating VAR can be.
Jurgen Klopp's side saw seven goals disallowed last season as a result of the video technology and three penalties awarded to opponents after completed checks.
This only added to what was a campaign to forget for the Reds, who failed to defend the Premier League title and were forced to play the majority of the season with no spectators inside Anfield.
VAR has been slightly kinder to Liverpool so far this season, suggested by recent ESPN data.

Burnley (August 21) - AGAINST
Mohamed Salah has only failed to score in three Premier League games this term, with Burnley one of those sides to have kept the Egyptian at bay.
Things could have been different, however.
Liverpool saw a brilliant team move finished by Salah, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside following a VAR check.
Chelsea (August 28) - FOR
Tempers flared at the end of the first half between Liverpool and Chelsea back in August.
The Reds were correctly awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time after defender Reece James handed a goal-bound shot on the line to keep the ball out of the net.
James was dismissed for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity and Liverpool were given a penalty.
Salah made no mistake from the spot against his former employers.
Brentford (September 25) - FOR
Klopp's side regained the lead against Brentford early in the second half through Salah, though his finish was initially flagged for offside.
A VAR check showed that the 29-year-old was in fact onside, resulting in the goal being awarded.
Manchester United (October 24) - FOR X2
Liverpool's comprehensive 5-0 win over Manchester United was made even sweeter when Cristiano Ronaldo saw his consolation goal taken away.
The 36-year-old fired into the bottom corner past Alisson but failed to time his run.
As frustration grew for the hosts, Paul Pogba received a yellow card for a late challenge on Naby Keita.
A VAR review led to this being upgraded to a red card, and United were fortunate not to be reduced to nine men.
Ronaldo's petulant kick-out on Curtis Jones could well have resulted in a dismissal had he connected with the body of the English midfielder as opposed to the ball. No VAR check was carried out following this, but he received a yellow card nonetheless.
Brighton (October 30) - AGAINST
Sadio Mane's disallowed goal for handball proved to be costly as Liverpool drew 2-2 with Brighton last month.
The Senegalese star thought he had put the Reds three goals to the good 11 minutes before the break, only for VAR to intervene.
Graham Potter's side scored a goal of their seven minutes later and then drew level in the 65th minute.
West Ham (November 7) - AGAINST
Alisson was left unhappy after West Ham's opening goal against Liverpool last weekend, having felt he was impeded by defender Angelo Ogbonna.
The Brazilian came to collect a ball played into the box from a corner but fell to the ground as bodies surrounded him.
An initial check took place for a foul on Alisson before a handball review was examined. After a lengthy assessment, the goal was awarded.
Moments later, VAR was again in action.
A dangerous challenge from Aaron Cresswell on Jordan Henderson was looked at for serious foul play, having followed through with studs after winning the ball from the Liverpool captain.
A VAR check determined no red card was to be shown or even a free-kick awarded, much to the disbelief of Klopp.
