Every level in Streetdog BMX has five challenges in each of the three difficulty levels, which means 90 total challenges after you complete the tutorial section. Here is what each challenge requires for completion and how to maximize your chance of success at them:

  • Banger Challenge: A Banger Challenge requires you to pull off a sequence of moves in a single combination. Although it resets you to the same point every time you crash, you are not required to complete the combination in the area where it places you or on a specific piece of scenery.
  • Big Air Challenge: These challenges require you to jump high off a ramp. It’s important to note it’s not about how far you have to go down from your apex, but instead how high above the point you take off, which means you need to find a steep ramp with a good lead-in to get speed, not a place you can make a big drop off a high point in the level.
  • Collect L-I-N-E: To score medals in a L-I-N-E challenge, you not only have to collect all four letters in a single combination, but also do so while beating the different scoring levels. The key to hitting your targets is getting your multiplier up by chaining grinds and manuals as you move until you have enough points and multiplier levels to score 3 Stars.
  • Collect S-T-R-E-E-T: Taking a page out of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater bag, S-T-R-E-E-T challenges you with collecting all six letters of SKATE within the prescribed time. Finding the right line is the key to this challenge, and we fortunately have a guide that can help you find the best line to grab the letter in each level.
  • Freestyle Challenge: In a Freestyle Challenge, you are given a series of tricks and have to complete them all within a set period of time. Your timer starts the first time you complete a move on the list and gives you 20 seconds to complete the others in whatever order you find best. You can perform the tricks anywhere on the level, but you have to restart the attempt if you crash out on any of the moves.
  • Gap Challenge: In a gap challenge, you are required to complete a series of moves or combos with the caveat that you have to do so with a specific takeoff and landing point. It can be beneficial early on to work on your lines into launch to have the right angle and speed consistently, ensuring that when you land the moves, you’ll get credit.
  • Gates Challenge: A Gates Challenge is a race against the clock with the level featuring a series of rings that you need to ride through. Although all gates appear at the start of the race, you must progress through them in the specified order, and often will require one or two moves where a missed jump or transition is an instant run killer.
  • High Score Challenge: As the name implies, High Score Challenges are about putting together a run that racks up as many points as possible. You can fall during your time period with no penalty beyond losing the points for the move you were attempting and the loss of time resetting.
  • Long Jump Challenge: This one pretty much does what it says on the tin, challenging you to hit a jump a certain length. It’s important to note that while these challenges will start you in a position for a good jump, you are not required to launch from there if you think you have a better spot to land a long jump.
  • Shortcut Challenge: A unique take on the racing challenges in Streetdog BMX, the Shortcut Challenge still has you racing the clock to get to a gate, but there is only one on the whole level. Instead of having to follow the path laid out, you are tasked with finding the best route on your own until you get your time down low enough to score the full three points.
  • Skid Challenge: These challenges task you with tracking down cones around a level and taking them out while riding within the provided time limit. Like other challenge types that ask you to collect things across a level, success in a Skid Challenge is all about figuring out the ideal line to track down each of the cones as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Spot Challenge: In a Spot Challenge, you are tasked with completing three different combos with the caveat that they must be completed on a premarked piece of scenery in the level. This generally requires you to finish or initiate every move in the combo on the marked area, not simply hit the area at some point during the combo.
  • Trick Score Challenge: A Trick Score Challenge is a high-score challenge; however, it is restricted to a single combo. You can move about the level and attempt to score wherever you find to be the most high-scoring point, and can use moves like riding fakie or manual variants to link between trickable scenery without losing your current combo.
  • Wallride Challenge: In a Wallride Challenge, you have to navigate a level to find and wallride on all of the no-BMX posters. Much like S-T-R-E-E-T challenges, Wallride challenges are all about finding the right line, so spend your first try or two finding all of the posters and figuring out the right path to do so as quickly as possible.

Now that you know what to expect with every challenge you can face, you’re ready to get out there and get riding to start earning your medals and unlocking all the levels and challenge difficulties that Streetdog BMX has to offer!
