Today we launch the 2019 Real Schools Guide - the seventh edition of the most comprehensive guide ever to state-funded secondaries.
Compiled by Reach's data unit, it aims to give a far more comprehensive picture than traditional league tables.
It takes into account 51 different data points - including not just GCSE results and Attainment 8 scores but also factors like Progress 8, pupil-teacher ratios and absence rates.
The Guide has been praised by ministers and education experts alike. Former schools minister David Laws called it 'public-service journalism in the best tradition'.
It will published as a print product in the Manchester Evening News on July 15, but parents can browse the full data, compare different schools, and find links to contact details and recent Ofsted reports using our search tool below.

This year's results put Altrincham Grammar School for Girls on top as the best school in Greater Manchester. In second place is Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, while third is Bolton Muslim Girls School.
