Club records
The Champions League has become Ronaldo's favoured stage and a host of records belong to him.
Prolific in front of goal, its no surprise to learn he's the competitions all-time leading goalscorer with 136.
Some 109 of those strikes came for Real Madrid, with whom he won four of his five Champions League titles.
Los Blancos made Ronaldo the most expensive player ever when they signed him in 2009 and he certainly paid back that investment.
After nine seasons at the club he left as their record goalscorer, smashing home 450 times.
His 44 hat-tricks is a record whilst Ronaldo is also the quickest man to score 100, 150, 200 and 250 goals in LaLiga.
In his final year at Madrid he also became the only man to score in all six Champions League group games.
His 17 strikes in Europe during the 2013/14 season remains a record.
Ronaldo would score in Madrid's final success that season meaning he has notched four times in finals - again a record.
His switch to Juventus, whilst not as successful as he or the club would've hoped, saw more records tumble.
A haul of 37 goals in his second season had never before been achieved in Turin.
Ronaldo's exploits across Europe with three heavyweight sides means he is the first player to score 100 club goals in three different countries.
International records
Ronaldo recently became the all-time leading goalscorer in international football with a late brace against the Republic of Ireland.
The 36-year-old helped deliver his country's first ever honour at Euro 2016 as they saw off France in the final.
At this year's European Championships the mercurial forward overtook Michel Platini as the competition's greatest goal getter.
Ronaldo's 14 strikes are a record, as is his 25 appearances across five tournaments.

With Portugal he now has 180 caps, a record for a European player, following their game with Qatar recently.
The World Cup may not have been the happiest of hunting grounds for Ronaldo, but his treble against Spain makes him the oldest scorer of a hat-trick on the global stage.
