Every Quarterback Selected in the 2023 NFL Draft

Witnessing three quarterbacks come off the board in the first four picks of the 2023 NFL draft was only a harbinger of the full allotment of signal-callers to hear their names called over seven rounds.

Bryce Young (No. 1), C.J. Stroud (No. 2), and Anthony Richardson (No. 4) didn’t have to wait long to come off the board, as they were grabbed by the PanthersTexans and Colts, respectively.

Meanwhile, Will Levis (No. 33) and Hendon Hooker (No. 68) both had to wait longer than anticipated on Day 2 before being selected by the Titans and Lions, respectively.

On Day 3, nine quarterbacks were tabbed—resulting in a whopping total of 14 quarterbacks being drafted in this year’s draft. In fact, over the first five rounds, a total of 12 signal-callers were selected—the most ever through five rounds of the draft.

Fresno State’s Jake Haener (No. 127, Saints) was the first quarterback to come off the board Saturday, followed by Georgia’s Stetson Bennett (No. 128, Rams), Purdue’s Aidan O’Connell (No. 135, Raiders), Houston’s Clayton Tune (No. 139, Cardinals), UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson (No. 140, Browns), Penn State’s Sean Clifford (No. 149, Packers), BYU’s Jaren Hall (No. 164, Vikings), Stanford’s Tanner McKee (No. 188, Eagles) and TCU’s Max Duggan (No. 239, Chargers).

Although an impressive number of quarterbacks were drafted in 2023, it fell far below the NFL draft record of 26 set in 1976.
