Manchester City have announced the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The goalkeeper, considered by some as the best in the world, has joined from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £26million (€30m). He has signed a five-year contract, with the option of a further year.
“To have signed for Manchester City is such a special and proud moment for me,” said Donnarumma.
“I am joining a squad packed with world-class talent and a team led by one of the greatest managers in the history of football in Pep Guardiola. This is a club every player in world football would love to join.
“I have admired watching Manchester City for many years - so to now be able to play for the Club is a huge honour and a privilege.
“I cannot wait to meet my new teammates, the staff and the fans. Playing at the Etihad Stadium will be very, very special for me.
“I am very excited for what lies ahead and can promise that I will give absolutely everything to try and help the club achieve even more success.”

City had been considering signing a new goalkeeper with rumours swirling around their first-choice shot-stopper Ederson, who has signed for Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian joins the Super Lig outfit for a reported €14m (£12m), and his exit was key for City to move for Donnarumma.
Previous reports had claimed that City would only land the Italian if a goalkeeper departed, with Ederson, Stefan Ortega, James Trafford, and Marcus Bettinelli all within their ranks.
Now, Ederson has left the Etihad Stadium after eight years between the sticks.
He made 372 appearances for the club in all competitions, keeping 168 clean sheets in his time.

Ederson told Manchester City's website: "I leave incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and I am honoured to have worn the shirt so many times.
"Under (head coach) Pep (Guardiola), we have dominated the Premier League and conquered Europe. It has been amazing."
Donnarumma, meanwhile, had entered the final year of his contract in Paris, and was frozen out of the first-team fold by Luis Enrique after negotiations over a new deal collapsed.
That opened the door for City to pounce, and they have signed a player that has kept goal for two of Europe’s top sides, having moved to Paris from AC Milan back in 2021.
He made 161 appearances for PSG, with 56 clean sheets to his name.
