Every part of Nottinghamshire included in Government's full list of local Covid tier 2 alert areas

Every part of Nottinghamshire will be moved into 'High Alert' Tier 2 lockdown from Wednesday, October 14.

Nottingham city, the districts of Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood, Mansfield and the boroughs of Rushcliffe, Gedling and Broxtowe will all be placed under the Tier 2 local lockdown restrictions.

The Government confirmed the news on Monday, October 12. It means all households and businesses in every part of the city and county are affected.

Every area in the county has now been officially listed on the Government's website for areas which will move into local Covid alert level high and local Covid alert level very high.

A Government spokesman said: "These rules will apply from 00.01 on Wednesday 14 October. You must follow the current guidance until then."

Tier 2 level restrictions are being placed in areas with a higher level of infections where some additional restrictions are in place.

New laws will prevent people from socialising with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place, and you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 outside.
