Manchester United’s hunt for a striker was the main talking point of deadline day, with the club signing Odion Ighalo less than an hour before the transfer window shut.
The Red Devils spent most of the day looking at potential strikers with Ighalo’s loan deal from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua coming after interest in Bournemouth ’s Josh King cooled.
However Man Utd weren’t the only Premier League club welcoming new arrivals on the last day of the January transfer window.
Cedric Soares joined Arsenal on loan from rivals Southampton while Wolves signed teenager Luke Matheson - who scored at Old Trafford in the League Cup earlier this season - from League 1 side Rochdale.
There were also numerous departures from clubs during the day, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham all seeing players head out on loan or on permanent deals.
