Every Chaser on ITV's The Chase and how much money they have made

They're some of the most famous quizzers in the world, regularly astounding viewers with their incredible knowledge and quizzing prowess.

And the Chasers have amassed a fortune in the process.

ITV's The Chase is a phenomenally successful quiz show, with a regular audience of three to five million viewers.

Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the show sees a team of four strangers go up against one of the show's quiz experts, the eponymous Chasers, in a bid to win a cash prize.

The smash hit quiz show has been on our screens since 2009 and has made stars of its Chasers.

How much they actually earn on the show has never been fully disclosed and when the ECHO approached ITV for confirmation, the network said it "does not discuss artists' contracts".

We take a look at their net worth to give some insight into how much money they could be raking in from their quizzing skills.

Mark Labbett

Nicknamed "The Beast" on the show, Mark is one of the original Chasers who has been on the show since it first started in 2009.

A keen quizzer, before he was cast as a Chaser, Paul also made appearances on Stake Out, University Challenge, Fifteen to One, the Syndicate and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? where he left with £32,000 after incorrectly answering his £64,000 question.

The 54-year-old has an estimated net worth of around £1.6m, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

His stint on The Chase has no doubt significantly contributed to his earnings and has lead to other television work which will have increased his wealth.

The Beast has also made some mega bucks with prize money he has been awarded on his appearances on other quiz shows over the years.

Mark has appeared on shows separate from the world of quizzing, including panel shows like Keith Lemon's comedic Celebrity Juice on which he appeared alongside fellow Chaser Anne Hegerty in 2017.

Shaun Wallace

Shaun Wallace in 2011 (ITV)

Shaun is the only other original Chaser on the show - but his career began in the courtroom not in the spotlight, and he previously worked as a barrister.

He was called to the Bar in 1984 but made waves in the quizzing world when he became the BBC Mastermind champion in 2004.

Like his co-star the Beast, Shaun "the Dark Destroyer" Wallace has made much of his fortune from quiz show winnings, while his career as a barrister and lecturer will have paid well.

Shaun also released his autobiography in 2018, titled Chasing the Dream.

His net worth is currently unknown, but reports estimate he could be worth anything from £1m up to £5m, with his earnings for the year 2018 estimated at between £100,000 and £1m.

Anne Hegerty

Anne Hegerty (ITV)

Anne Hegerty joined the show in 2010 and was dubbed "The Governess".

Before making her debut on The Chase, Anne worked as a reporter and features writer for the South Wales Argus until she moved to Manchester.

Her long running stint on The Chase, as well as appearances on reality shows including I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out of Here have bagged the Governess an estimated net worth of more than £2m, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The Governess has also appeared on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Let's Sing and Dance for Comic Relief, The Family Chase, The Wright Stuff, Loose Women, This Morning, Celebrity Chase, and more which will have boosted her bank balance.

Paul Sinha

Paul started his career as a doctor and a comedian.

It was during his training at medical school that lead to his love of the stage, after he took part in the school's annual revue.

He has gone on to do stand up tours and has taken part on a number of quiz shows over the years, including The Weakest Link, University Challenge: The Professionals, Are You An Egghead?, and Mastermind.

Paul's net worth is unknown, but according to reports, he was worth around $1.3million (£1,044,261) in 2019.

Jenny Ryan

Jenny Ryan is best known as The Vixen, a quizzer on ITV's The Chase (ITV)

Jenny, the most recent Chaser to join the show until the newest member of the quizzing team was announced last month, joined in 2015.

Jenny's Chaser alter ego is "The Vixen", though she is sometimes referred to as the Bolton Brainiac.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, she has an estimated net worth of more than £3m.

The first quiz show she appeared on was University Challenge, representing the University of Leeds and making it to the semi-final in 2003.

In 2006, she was a contestant on BBC's Mastermind, choosing hit cult television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer as her specialist subject.

She has also appeared on Only Connect, Are You an Egghead?, Fifteen to One and The Weakest Link.

Jenny is the youngest of the Chasers and joined the show five years ago after going through nine months of tests and screen tests.

Outside of quizzing, she is a keen singer and went on to compete in the ITV competition series The X Factor: Celebrity, where she finished third.

*The Chase airs every weeknight on ITV at 5pm
