Mr Chilli

Right in the middle of Seel Street, Mr Chilli specialised in Sichuan cuisine - and its always a go-to when you’re in need of a drunken meal.

The restaurant has 222 reviews, the majority of which are excellent.

Review: “Visited here with my family last Saturday, the appetisers were so good! Freshly made dumplings and spring rolls which went down a treat.

“A half crispy duck which was moist yet not greasy. I recommend the Szechwan mains, the pork hock has to be my favourite!

“Big portions and reasonably priced. Will be trying the hot pot next time.”

Arts Club

Arts Club (Liverpool ECHO)

A casual bar at the centre of Seel Street, Arts Club is a basement venue offering food, drinks, and music.

The venue has a four star rating on Trip Advisor.

Review: “Loved the food and the experience here on our recent visit.

“We just saw a recent 'Masterchef' programme featuring the chef and booked a table immediately for our visit to Liverpool.

“One small problem is that it is not well sign posted for the visitors to the City.”

WildCat Mediterranean Restaurant, Cocktail & Shisha Bar

WildCat is a premier shisha bar with a full kitchen and bar, offering a menu of homemade dishes.

The bar offers a ‘homelike comfortable’ atmosphere with couches and pillows for customers to get comfy.

The bar currently has no reviews.

Heebie Jeebies

A place where everyone in Liverpool has danced their socks off at one point or another, Heebie Jeebies is the pinnacle of a Liverpool night out.

The bar is also home to Liverpool’s longest running indie night.

Review: ”Everyone loves Heebies. They're all right. It's the friendliest place in town. Whether midweek of weekend, you'll have a great night.”

EBGBS

The sister bar of Heebie Jeebies, EBGBS was previously referred to as ‘Heebie’s basement’ until it became a stand-alone bar in 2017.

The bar has a 4.5 star rating on Trip Advisor.

Review: “Visited here to watch our son and his band “Ryder’s Creed” play. What a lovely hidden gem.

“Loved the little place and the cocktails. Would I return - o yes. Keep up the good work all the staff at EBGBS.”

Brooklyn Mixer

A must-do on a night out in Liverpool, Brooklyn Mixer offers three floors of none-stop music and dancing.

Each floor offers a completely different vibe, so there’s something for everyone.

Review: “Popped in for a cocktail whilst on our way to Chinatown for food , ended up having three and a secret shot! Scott behind the bar was very knowledgeable about the cocktails on the menu, asking what we liked and recommending ones to our taste.

“During our stay in this wonderful city we drank in a variety of bars and a few of them would benefit from training their staff in the art of customer service and take a few pointers from the bar tenders at Brooklyn Mixer."

Alma De Cuba

Alma De Cuba (Liverpool Echo)

Based inside a decommissioned church, Alma De Cuba serves up latin-infused dishes and cocktails.

Visitors even get the full experience with the bar’s Sunday Gospel Brunch with entertainment from live gospel choir Soulful Voices.

Review: “Went for Sunday lunch which was lovely and had singing by the Gospel Chior which was outstanding. wonderful food served and attentive staff. Look forward to returning again soon.”

The Peacock

Having been around for more than 10 years, The Peacock is an old pro at Liverpool nightlife.

The bar offers everything from cocktails and gin to artisan pizza and disco classics.

Review: “Stopped here last night for some pizza and a cocktail! What amazing value for money, certainly wasn’t expecting such generous portions for the price!

“The staff are super friendly too. Will def return and would recommend you try it if in the city.”

The Zanzibar

The Zanzibar Club on Seel Street (Colin Lane)

A live music venue like no other, The Zanzibar  is known for hosting rock and alternative bands.

The likes of Liam Gallagher, The Coral, The Zutons and The Libertines have played at The Zanzibar.

Review: “Went here last night to see Bronnie in concert. Bronnie amazing as always but I love this venue.

“Friendly staff, great lay out, superb sound and the drinks nicely priced. Just wish more big bands would play here.”

Brockbank & Mellor

Inside Brockbank & Mellor, Seel Street (Brockbank & Mellor)

 

New to Seel Street, Brockbank & Mellor is a huge 400-capacity bar set between Be At One and Circo.

Upstairs the restaurant specialises in small plates, while the bar downstairs offers an extensive menu.

Review: ” Popped in for cocktails on date night. The atmosphere was just right for it and the cocktails were fantastic! Had to try a few of course”.

Be At One

The go-to for high end cocktails on Seel Street, Be At One is a cocktail institution that’s all about partying.

Review: “Have visited be at one on multiple occasions- booking tables or just random visits. Gorgeous venue decor inside, staff are all very friendly.

“Cocktails and drinks are all gorgeous, the music is always great too- there is a great atmosphere/vibe every time you visit this place.

“The outside area is a great addition for the summer when the weather is nice. Will be back multiple times in the future!”

Circo

Another Liverpool institution, Circo is a circus-themed bar taking it to the next level.

The bar offers everything from movie screenings to theatrical acrobat shows and everything in between.

Review: “We visited Circo years ago and had a really good experience but I do wish I had checked recent reviews before returning.

“A group of us met up and this was supposed to be a really good laugh for us all.

“But it is now overpriced and the quality all round is definitely not worth the money and we wouldn’t return again.”

Kazimier Garden

Tucked away on Seel Street, Kazimier Garden is a gem in Liverpool.

The venue is split across two levels with plenty of seating - and it’s known for its eclectic programme of live bands and club nights.

Review: “Our son introduced me and my husband to this amazing beer garden and we just can’t wait to return next time we’re visiting him in Liverpool.

“I just love the buzz and the laid-back atmosphere. We sat there drinking and chatting for hours.

“We’ve always loved the Edinburgh Fringe and this reminded us of that, with all the quirky venues and drinking holes.”

The Pouge Mahone

If you’re looking for an Irish boozer on Seel Street, Pouge Mahone is the one.

The bar serves everything from beers and wines to cocktails and pizzas - and it’s got 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor.

Review: “One of my favourite Irish pubs to visit in our vibrant city is Pogue Mahones Irish Pub ,its a pub I really love visiting on any trip into Liverpool we take .

“I love the look of this pub,its a proper pub ,great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this multi roomed pub, it's a classic back street boozer.”
