Everton youngster Nathan Broadhead rewarded for fantastic campaign with Wales opportunity

Nathan Broadhead has been rewarded for his fantastic campaign with a call-up to Wales' latest first-team training camp.

The Everton youngster was an integral part of David Unsworth's squad that claimed a double trophy triumph last term, bagging four goals and three assists in the process.

The Welsh youth international featured in every single league game for the U23s this term and only failed to complete a full match on three occasions.

That earned the 21-year-old last week - and has led to further rewards now.

Broadhead has represented Wales at every youth level throughout his career but is yet to make his breakthrough into the senior side.

However, international boss Ryan Giggs is clearly impressed with the youngster as he has been called up to the first-team's latest training camp in Portugal this week.

Wales have named a 26-man squad for the camp taking place in the Algarve between May 22 and May 28 - with the Everton man being one of seven new players to receive a call up.

Giggs will be naming his squad for upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary on May 29, with Broadhead now being given a fantastic opportunity to prove himself worthy of selection.
