But Bernard, 27, responded to the rumours online last night in a bid to end talk of him leaving Goodison.
Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear that he is a fan of the Brazilian, who joined the Blues in the summer of 2018, but did cast doubt on his ability to play away from home, in games where Everton would not have the bulk of possession.
Since the Italian arrived, Bernard's best performances have been at Goodison and he appears determined to make an impact under the new manager, dismissing talk of a Roma switch as a "lie".
