Everton 'willing' to offer €15m to sign Serie A defender

Everton are continuing to be tipped to make a move for Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao.

The Blues were linked with the centre-back during the summer transfer window but no deal materialised. Becao’s current contract with the Serie A club still has two years left to run but his future is still the subject of speculation.

Udinese have reportedly been keen to hand the 26-year-old a new deal to ward off interest from other clubs. However, it was also claimed that he is stalling on signing fresh terms, providing Everton with a potential boost.

The latest report from Italian news outlet Tutto Udinese, via Sport Witness , has claimed that the Blues would be "willing to put up" spend €15m to sign Becao either in January or next summer.

It has also been stated that the subject of Becao’s contract talks are a "thorny question" with the Italian club. With it also being reported that there have been "no shortage of offers" from other Premier League clubs, as well as Everton.

Becao has made nine appearances for Udinese in Serie A so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist from centre-back.. He moved to the Italian club from Brazilian outfit EC Bahia in 2019 for a reported fee of £5.4m.
