Everton wait to learn extent of Yerry Mina injury problem

Everton are hoping to learn the full extent of Yerry Mina's knee injury tomorrow.

The Blues defender sustained the problem in the closing stages of Saturday's game with West Ham at Goodison.

As Mina shepherded Declan Rice away from the danger zone, Jordan Pickford slid out to collect the ball but in doing so collided with the Colombian defender.

The 25-year-old, hobbling, continued to play through the pain barrier before Marco Silva replaced him in the fourth minute of time added on, with Everton's victory secure.

Silva's squad were on a scheduled day off today but further tests on Mina's knee will take place on Monday at Finch Farm.

The Blues boss, however, said the initial diagnosis following the 2-0 win over West Ham was that the injury was not too serious.

"Let's see.  It is a little bit in his knee but it looks nothing special but we have to see he is in the next few days and how he will react.

"Let's hope it is nothing special with Mina."
