Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham have a point to prove in a potentially tricky trip to face Everton on Sunday.
Since drawing at Olympiacos on August 18, Spurs have lost five out of their eight games - their most recent defeat seeing them let an early lead slip to lose 2-1 at Liverpool last Sunday.
That result leaves Spurs 11th in the Premier League table, eight points off the top four - and Pochettino is under pressure to prove last season's Champions League final run was not the peak of this side's potential.
Everton are in an even more precarious position as they sit 16th, just two points off the drop zone after a summer of heavy investment. The Toffees beat Watford in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but a heavy home defeat here could well spell the end of Marco Silva's tenure.

Tottenham team news and injuries
Erik Lamela is out, meaning Christian Eriksen should keep his place. Jan Vertonghen is also out to add to Pochettino's worries.
Danny Rose will definitely miss the trip through suspension after a fifth booking of the season at Anfield, so Ben Davies is expected to start at left-back and Ryan Sessegnon could be in the squad for the first time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s right-back worries are refusing to go away but the manager seems determined to stick with Serge Aurier regardless of his mistakes — the latest a costly penalty last weekend.
Elsewhere, the Argentine faces decisions in the centre of defence, with Jan Vertonghen pushing for a recall, and in midfield, where Tanguy Ndombele is surely worth starting after a lively cameo against the League leaders.
Predicted Tottenham lineup (4-2-3-1): Gazzaniga; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Ndombele, Sissoko; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane

Prediction: Everton 2-2 Tottenham
With both sides so desperate for a win, this could be a cagey affair at first which springs into life in the second half. Expect goals at both ends.
Expert view: Alan Smith
There was certainly enough in last weekend’s defeat to Liverpool at Anfield to suggest Tottenham are regaining some of their mojo.
The energy and desire and their sharpness going forward must have encouraged Mauricio Pochettino. A continuation of that tempo on the other side of Stanley Park would perhaps be enough to take all the points.
Yet Everton, just now, are dangerously unpredictable. It all adds up to what should be a compelling contest at Goodison Park.
