Everton vs Manchester United in Carabao Cup quarter-final date and time confirmed

The date of Everton's Carabao Cup quarter-final with Manchester United has been confirmed.

Carlo Ancelotti's side welcome the Red Devils to Goodison on Wednesday, December 23.

The last eight clash will kick-off at 8pm and is to be shown live on Sky Sports.

Everton have cruised through to the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2015 after seeing off Salford City, Fleetwood Town and West Ham United.

The Blues scored 12 times, conceding only three goals, to this point but United - whom they face on Saturday in the Premier League - will provide their sternest test so far.

Everton met Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals of the competition in 2015, winning 2-0 at the Riverside thanks to goals from Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku.

Roberto Martinez's side faced Manchester City in the two-legged semi-finals but after winning 2-1 at Goodison, the lost 3-1 in controversial circumstances in the return game.
