Everton begin the post-Marco Silva era against Chelsea today as the weekend's Premier League action begins at Goodison Park.
Another Merseyside derby humbling left the Toffees in the relegation zone, prompting Silva to get the sack after 18 months in charge and meaning Duncan Ferguson will be in the home dugout today.
Chelsea, meanwhile, got back to winning ways in midweek following back-to-back defeats, beating Aston Villa 2-1 in a scoreline which flattered the visitors to Stamford Bridge.
Tammy Abraham scored and assisted against Villa and will be confident of adding to his 12 goals against a rudderless Everton despite an injury scare late on.
The match kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday, December 7.
Team news and lineups
Everton: Richarlison could return to a more central role, despite scoring from the left-wing position against Liverpool. Gylfi Sigurdsson could move into a more recognisable no.10 position, supported by Morgan Schneiderlin with Fabian Delph is still not fit enough to start.
Bernard will be pushing for a start after a lively cameo at Anfield. Seamus Coleman is hoping to shake off a knock to return, meaning Djbril Sidibe would make way.
Chelsea: Tammy Abraham limped out on Wednesday but he is expected to be fit to start. Jorginho was also rested in midweek, coming on in stoppage-time to help see out the victory, and will resume his place at the heart of Chelsea’s central midfield.
With N’Golo Kante taking one of the other three midfield positions, Frank Lampard must choose between Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic. Ross Barkley could also complicate the picture further if he is fit again following his illness.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is also pushing for a start but he must find a way past in-form duo Willian and Christian Pulisic either side of Abraham. Antonio Rudiger is closing in on a return to first-team action but he is unlikely to be involved this weekend.
How we think the sides could line up…
Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne; Schneiderlin, Davies; Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Richarlison
Chelsea: Kepa, James, Christensen, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Kante, Jorginho, Mount; Willian, Abraham, Pulisic.

Alan Smith's view
I wonder if Tammy Abraham has started thinking about the Golden Boot for finishing as the Premier League’s top scorer.
He wouldn’t have given it a thought at the start of this season, when his role at Chelsea was far from clear. But four months on, he is flying and on 11 goals. I remember being asked myself about the chances of winning this award. ‘No chance’, I said, only to claim the first of two in 1989. No reason to think Abraham can’t follow suit.
