Everton v Brighton betting tips and a solid 5/1 first scorer tip

Goodison could be a tense place to be on Saturday afternoon.

After last Sunday's chastening experience, the Blues simply must bounce back against Brighton.

We asked our Everton correspondent, Phil Kirkbride, what he expects from the visit of the Seagulls.

Win, lose or draw?

Win.  Goodison will not just expect, but demand, a reaction following the derby humiliation. Everton's league form has been good in the past month or so with three wins from six and so a home win is on the cards. It's also a good 10/11 price with thepools.com.

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, at 5/1, seems like a sensible wager.

Who's on the naughty step?

Lewis Dunk.  He's had seven cautions already this season and number eight could arrive at Goodison.

Who's on pens?

Gylfi Sigurdsson. But Everton have only had one penalty all season - in the Carabao Cup - successfully converted. Which is maybe why Sigurdsson is 13/2 first scorer and 9/4 to score any time.

Will the Blues keep a clean sheet?

Yes. Hopefully.  The Blues have kept clean sheets in their past two home league games, only conceding one in the last three. Both Teams To Score 'No' is 21/20.
