Everton have officially unveiled their new statue commemorating the Holy Trinity – Howard Kendall, Alan Ball and Colin Harvey – outside Goodison Park ahead of Friday's match with Burnley.
The project had been in the pipeline for some time, with work to transform the area outside St Luke's starting a few weeks ago.
But the impressive sculpture has now been officially revealed in front of a large group of supporters – led by Colin Harvey, his family members and the loved ones of both Kendall and Ball.
The large statue depicts all three players on the same triangular plinth, all facing away from each other and all with plaques underneath detailing their history with Everton .

The statue was sculpted by Tom Murphy, who also created the club's iconic Dixie Dean statue.
Harvey is unfortunately the only surviving member of the Holy Trinity, but was delighted for him and his family to be able to see the sculpture.
He said: “It's very unusual to have a statue of you while you're still alive, but it's a fantastic feeling and a fantastic sculpture.
“I used to live the next street down from here, I used to sit in the boys pen just round the corner. My dad used to meet me right outside here and we'd go home together.

“All my grandkids are here today, they took the day off school to have their hair cut and everything which is great to see. They've read stories about me, but never seen me play.
“I knew there would be quite a few here, but I didn't expect quite so many.”

A large crowd of people stood outside St Luke's for over half an hour to get a first glimpse of the impressive statue.
And Jimmy Ball, Alan's son, believes the piece captured his father perfectly, even down to the footwear and the direction he is facing.
Jimmy told the ECHO: “It's a brilliant sculpture, it's very realistic to be fair! Even the detail with his white Hummel boots.
“I didn't know how I'd feel, but it was overwhelming and quite emotional.

“The first thing that came into my mind was him facing the Gwladys Street, he always talked about scoring his first goal there with the adulation from the crowd.
“It's a fantastic occasion. They'll be here forever now and people will be telling their children and grandchildren about them.
“As a family that's a great feeling. Their legacy will live on.”
It was a special moment for the family of Howard Kendall also, with his son Simon flying over from the United States for 24 hours so he wouldn't miss this incredible moment.
And he already can't wait to bring the rest of his family over to see the sculpture.

Simon told the ECHO: “It's a surreal experience, but it's an absolutely incredible statue.
“Dad would have loved it, and it's just a shame he's not here himself. It's a great symbol of such a successful trio in midfield for Everton.
“It's something I'm dying to get my kids to see when we bring them over from the States!

“It's a bit emotional, I have to say. Dad was a very humble man, but I'm sure he would have been extremely honoured and delighted with the symbol and the quality of the work.
“To have this on top of the stand name is a tremendous honour.”
