Everton TV fixture confirmed as Premier League make latest announcement

The Premier League have announced that all matches in the first weekend of fixtures for October will be televised.

This means that Everton's match against Brighton and Hove Albion and Goodison Park will be shown live on BT Sport, and will be staying at the originally scheduled time of 3pm on Saturday October 3.

This follows news that the Blues' trip to Crystal Palace, which was subject to change due to either side's involvement in the Carabao Cup, will also stay in its original slot of September 26 at 3pm - and will be streamed on Amazon Prime.

A decision has not yet been reached over fixtures following the international break next month.

The latest announcement follows an update from the Government earlier this week which confirmed that plans to allow supporters back into Premier League stadiums in October has been postponed.

The organisation was preparing to allow fans back into grounds across the country next month for the first time since football was brought to a halt in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that restrictions across all sectors are set to be tightened later this week in a bid to combat rising infection rates and hospital admissions.

Everton face Fleetwood Town in the League Cup on Wednesday evening, shown live on Sky Sports, before their trip to Palace this weekend and the home match against Brighton a week later.
