With the start of Premier League on the horizon, Benitez will be hoping to wrap up any transfer business ahead of his first season in charge.

What?

Everton have been linked with a move for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.

The Blues join Tottenham in monitoring the 26-year-old amid inquiries from Italian sides AC Milan, Roman, Inter Milan and Lazio.

Despite impressing for England, Jordan Pickford will need back-up at Goodison Park next season.

Gollini has the potential to develop into a top-quality shot-stopper after proving his ability in Serie A.

However, Atalanta are under no pressure to sell their keeper this summer and Everton would have to come forward with a tempting offer if they were to lure him to Goodison.

What?

Everton are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

The Blues would face Premier League competition in a move for the defender as the Japanese international has also been linked to West Ham and Tottenham.

The 22-year-old would be a quality addition to the Blues’ backline with the ability to play at both right-back and centre-back.

Tomiyasu will be searching for first-team football and Everton could offer him that platform.

Who?

Wilfried Zaha

What?

Crystal Palace would sell reported Everton target Wilfried Zaha for £50million according to Darren Ambrose.

Both Everton and Tottenham have been reported to have a strong interest in the forward.

But Goal reported in May that Crystal Palace will fight hard to keep their star player at Selhurst Park, despite the 28-year-old stating he is ready to leave the club if an opportunity arises.

Following the departure of Roy Hodgson, however, it will be interesting to see new manager Patrick Vieira’s stance on Zaha’s future.

Pundit Ambrose told talkSPORT: “For £50 million, I think they would sell him now. I really do.”

Palace only have a small squad heading into pre-season and the tempting offer of £50million to bolster their ranks could force Steve Parish to press the sell button on Zaha.
