Everton brought the curtain down on their Premier League campaign with a heavy 5-0 defeat at the hands of champions Manchester City.
That result at the Etihad meant that the Blues finished the season in 10th-place, eight points off the Champions League places.
Since that result, Everton have been linked with targets across the globe as Rafa Benitez looks to bolster his squad.
With the start of Premier League on the horizon, the Spaniard will be hoping to bolster his Everton squad ahead of his first season in charge of the Goodison Park club.

What?
The report claims that that Rafa Benitez is closing in on a deal for the former Leicester City man.
It is claimed that the 25-year-old has an exit clause with a value of about £1.5 million in his Leverkusen contract having moved to the German side from Leicester in January.
While the ECHO understands that a deal is not imminent for Gray, unlike those for Asmir Begovic and Andros Townsend.

Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho.

Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar.
What?
Aguilar claims that Everton, along with Liverpool and Wolves, remain interested in signing the Brazilian this summer.
The attacker left Liverpool for Barcelona in a club-record deal back in January 2018, but has endured a difficult time in Spain as he struggled to recreate his Anfield form.
Given a second chance at Camp Nou by Ronald Koeman last summer, Coutinho started the season well, but has not played since December after rupturing his meniscus.
Reports in Spain have indicated over the last few months that Barca will look to sell Coutinho this summer as new president Joan Laporta plans a squad overhaul, with Everton having been tentatively linked with the playmaker in recent months.

What?
Everton have extensively assessed Chukwueze and have garnered positive feedback from the club's scouts.
The report goes on to claim that Chukwueze currently features on the club's transfer shortlist this summer as they look to strengthen their attack.
Chukwueze won the Europa League with the Spanish side last season, and finished the campaign with five goals and six assists in 39 games across the La Liga and Europa League.
