Everton are showing ‘strong’ interest in the Lazio frontman, according to reports in Italy.

The Argentine forward, who turns 27 in August, scored eight goals in 28 games last season and has caught the eye of a host of clubs this summer.

Calciomercato claims Inter are the Toffees main rivals for Correa’s signature, while Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen but ‘further away’ in the race to land him.

Correa moved to Europe from Estudiantes for Sampdoria in 2015 before signing for Sevilla a year later and a switch to the Premier League could be next.

What?

Everton are reportedly battling Liverpool and Manchester United to sign the Villarreal winger.

The Athletic claims all three Premier League sides are interested in the Nigerian 22-year-old who is one of the most highly-rated youngsters on the continent.

The player has a £68m release clause at El Madrigal, according to Spanish publication La Razon who also state a move could depend on whether Villarreal find a replacement. The Yellow Submarine have reportedly bid £15m for Bournemouth frontman Arnaut Danjuma and are looking at Schalke’s Amine Harit if that move doesn’t come off.

It seems Everton are still keen to bolster the squad out wide despite signing Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray and Chukwueze would be a top addition.

The Zimbabwe international has been linked with a switch to Goodison Park following an impressive end to the season with Aston Villa.

MailOnline claims new Everton boss Rafa Benitez is interested in the 27-year-old as he looks to improve his midfield.

Nakamba played 12 times for the Villains last season and stood out in the wins over Tottenham and Chelsea.

Villa would be ‘reluctant’ to lose the energetic midfielder, the report states, but Everton are set to ‘test their resolve’ and face competition from Crystal Palace.
