Everton transfers - Daniel Jebbison '£5m' as Atletico Madrid 'considered' move for Moise Kean

Everton have less than a week to make any further additions to their squad before the transfer deadline next Tuesday.

The Blues have already welcomed Asmir Begovic, Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray through the doors at Goodison Park this summer, but new boss Rafa Benitez is hoping to complete further business before the window slams shut.

Everton have reportedly already made their move for Sheffield United teenager Daniel Jebbison, according to The Athletic.

The Blades are said to have turned down a £5m bid plus add-ons from the Toffees, but the rejection is not expected to be the end of the matter.

The Echo understands manager Rafa Benitez has been studying tapes of Jebbison and believes he can improve the Canada-born striker.

Whilst Sheffield United had been preparing to send the player out on loan this season, the Blues are interested in signing the player permanently.

Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Everton to the signing of Metz midfielder Pape Sarr.

The London club have reportedly agreed a £14.5m fee for the 18-year-old, who is set to be loaned back to the Ligue 1 club for the upcoming season.

Sarr has attracted attention from a number of clubs this summer, including Everton, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Atletico Madrid are closing in on Hertha Berlin forward Matheus Cunha, according to reports this week.

Everton were also rumoured to hold interest in the 22-year-old, but the Spanish club have won the race to sign the player in a deal worth a reported £25.7m.

Romano added on Twitter that Atletico were also considering a move for Everton's Moise Kean, but the priority was Cunha.
