Everton transfer rumours rated - Blues consider Tammy Abraham move, Porto striker linked

With the business end of the season approaching, thoughts are already turning to next season with players being linked with moves both to and from Everton.

Here's a look at the latest rumours.

Who?

Tammy Abraham, one of the many young English talents Chelsea send out on loan but who can't get near to their first team.

The 6ft 3in striker has netted 25 goals for Aston Villa this season and also bagged 26 for Bristol City during his last stint in the Championship two seasons ago.

Last term he was less prolific for Swansea City, grabbing eight goals in all competitions with five coming in the Premier League as the Welsh club were relegated.

Where?

The Mirror claim that Everton are considering making a move for Tammy Abraham.

The Chelsea-owned striker could be allowed to go - despite a great season at Aston Villa.

But a move could depend on if Villa return to the Premier League with the club “desperate” to keep him long term.

What?

Abraham has certainly been a revelation at Villa this term but was similarly impressive for Bristol City a couple of years back and after his disappointment last term it remains to be seen whether he can transfer his prolific form in the second tier to the top flight.

At just 21 he remains a prospect of great promise but would his arrival potentially stifle the progress of Dominic Calvert-Lewin , another young striker at Everton, who is just six months older than him?

Where?

Correio da Manha – via Sport Witness – reckon that while the likes of Everton and West Ham United were put off by Porto's €40million price tag a year ago, they could now be prepared to stump up the cash.

What?

Although France-born Mali international Marega's domestic goal tally has plummeted this term (down from 22 to just seven in the Portuguese League) it's his exploits in Europe that have caught the eye to give him an all competitions total of 17 so far.

It remains to be seen whether the Blues think that is enough to convince them that the 28-year-old is an upgrade on what they've already got.

How has the defender Everton missed out on last summer fared this season?

Who?

Edin Dzeko, the big Bosnian striker who David Moyes first tried to bring to Goodison Park almost a decade ago. After a four-and-a-half year stint in the Premier League with Manchester City, he has been playing for Roma in Serie A since 2015.

Where?

Gazzetta dello Sport reckon that RB Leipzig have joined the race for Dzeko in an attempt to lure the former Wolfsburg man back to the Bundesliga rather than going to Everton or West Ham United for a second stint in England and are willing to offer the 33-year-old a two-year deal.

Everton set for major squad revamp which could see two teams of unwanted players axed

What?

There's no denying that with 264 career goals to date, Dzeko offers proven goalscoring pedigree but given his age and the fact he's been operating in the less physically-demanding Italian game for the past four years, is the veteran striker really well-placed for a Premier League return?

None of his suitors are yet to meet Roma's reported €20million valuation and the player himself is supposedly keen to remain in Italy even if he does depart The Eternal City this summer.
