Everton transfer round-up: Frank Lampard wants Tottenham defender amid £100million offer claims

Richarlison continues to dominate Everton transfer news with a likely exit to Tottenham seemingly edging closer by the hour.

But it is thought that the sale of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or home grown Anthony Gordon would do more to balance the books. Everton are looking to boost their FFP headline figures with incoming funds before June 30 and while Richarlison will bring in a substantial fee profit will be limited given he cost Everton £43million from Watford.

By contrast Calvert-Lewin, who cost just £1.5m, and Anthony Gordon, who cost nothing, would do more to mitigate FFP restrictions on transfers and wages next season. Mirror Sport has rounded up all the latest Everton transfer news and rumours.

Spurs' eye-watering £100m offer

Spurs attempts to land Richarlison and Gordon in a combined £100million package might be music to the ears of finance department at Everton. But Frank Lampard is determined to hold on to their home grown talent Gordon however high the numbers get. It has been suggested that Tottenham are making progress in agreeing personal terms with Richarlison.

Yet elsewhere Teamtalk reports that Spurs have lodged a bid to bring not one but two Everton stars south. While the Brazil striker looks set to move the Merseyside club’s board have been adamant they will not sell fans’ favourite Gordon. The England Under-21 star wants to join the North London side and Spurs are hoping the massive double offer will be too good to turn down.

Lampard keen on Bergwijn

The Toffees have thrown their hat in the ring for the wantaway Spurs forward Steven Bergwijn with the striker’s fate seemingly linked to that of Richarlison. According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf Everton have made an offer for the forward which is “better than other interested parties”.

However, Bergwijn is not thought to be keen on being used as makeweight or for that matter exchanging one disappointing Premier League stay for another. The 24-year-old favours a move to move to Ajax and that, according to the report, remains the most likely destination.

The Spurs winger never played for Ajax at senior level but did spend two years in their academy between 2009 and 2011 prior to moving to PSV at the start of a nine-year stint at De Hardgang.

Rodon battle

Everton will rival Nottingham Forest for Wales international defender Joe Rodon according to reports on talkSPORT. The Tottenham defender will be allowed to leave this summer, with the World Cup on the horizon and having slipped down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.

Rodon, 24, made just 10 appearances in the senior ranks last season and has been mooted for a reunion with former Swansea boss Steve Cooper at Forest. Everton could be in the market to gazump the newly promoted side according to the radio station.
