Everton transfer plan for Daniel Jebbison after £5m bid as loan decision made

Everton will keep tabs on Daniel Jebbison's progress on loan this season after failing to land the teenager striker in this window.

The Blues tabled an offer for the 18-year-old forward who scored for Sheffield United at Goodison last season.

But the Bramall Lane club were not prepared to entertain Everton's £5m proposal and, instead, preferred to send Jebbison out on loan.

Everton, it is believed, would have to table an offer of at least £10m to give the Blades reason to consider selling the 6'5" striker, who is attracting interest from a host of top flight clubs.

Reports earlier on deadline day said League One side Burton Albion, who are managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, were close to landing Jebbison on loan.

Rafa Benitez is a fan of the young striker who scored on his full debut for Sheffield United at Goodison in May to secure the visitors a 1-0 win and further damage Everton's fading European hopes.
