Everton told to sell Theo Walcott - but give Nikola Vlasic another chance next season

The fate of many Everton players is still up in the air as we head closer and closer towards the summer transfer window.

The Blues have experienced a mixed campaign at best throughout the course of 2018/19 - hitting a strong run of form between the months of October and November which saw them climb as high as sixth in the Premier League.

However, form suffered drastically from December onwards, with Marco Silva's side now finding themselves well behind in the race to even finish seventh in the league this term.

Everton are four points behind Wolves, while the midlands club still have a game in hand.

So, with seven games left of the season, eyes are already starting to turn towards the summer and how the Blues might look to change their squad before the start of next term.

As with last year, bringing quality players into the club is no doubt a necessity - but clearing out a lot of the deadwood in the side is also an important task.

We asked for the opinions of supporters alongside that on who they would like to keep or sell ahead of next season - and the results are now in from the vote.

Players to keep

It's little surprise to see two signings from the summer of 2018 sitting happily at the top of the fan results.

Lucas Digne has been a revelation since making the move from Barcelona to Goodison Park, establishing himself firmly as the club's first-choice left back ahead of Leighton Baines.

Meanwhile Richarlison has clearly proven why he was transferred for such a high amount, is currently Everton's joint top scorer, and has successfully worked his way into the Brazilian national team.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Bernard follow the two summer signings as their form has significantly improved over the last few weeks.

Despite having a more erratic season in terms of performances, Jordan Pickford has the backing of 96.1% of those who voted to stay at Goodison Park beyond this summer.

Other notable scores are a 90.8% showing for Ademola Lookman despite not picking up as much game time as he would have liked this term - and both Henry Onyekuru and Nikola Vlasic having the support of over three quarters of supporters who voted.

Jose Mourinho linked with bizarre Everton move as debate around next club rages on

Meanwhile, there is a bit more of a split on the future of Idrissa Gueye , following a January transfer window full of Paris Saint-Germain speculation.

59.3% of fans who voted wanted to keep the midfielder, while others would sell if the right offer came in this summer.

Players to sell

At the other end of the scale, players currently on loan from Everton do not fare too well at all.

Cuco Martina, who is plying his trade at Feyenoord, only has 1.2% of supporters who voted wanting to keep him - while Kevin Mirallas doesn't manage much better on 1.4%.

Ashley Williams is just above his fellow loanees on 1.5% - while Oumar Niasse and Shani Tarashaj make up the bottom five.

One of the most divisive figures in the whole vote proved to be Kieran Dowell .

The youngster has shown a lot of promise, especially during loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United, but has struggled to consistently break into the Blues first team.

Ross Barkley describes exactly how controversial Everton move has changed him

Supporters voting in our poll are almost split exactly down the middle on whether the midfielder should stay or be sold - with 49.6% of fans voting to keep him.

Meanwhile Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka , who are both out of contract in the summer, both have the majority of supporters voting that their time at Goodison Park could be over by the time next season comes around.
