Everton to start new season without key sponsor as talks go on

Everton will start the season without a shirt sleeve sponsor as talks continue over a new deal.

The Blues' three-year deal with Rovio, the company behind Angry Birds, has come to an end.

And though discussions over an extension took place, no agreement was reached.

Everton have gone in search of a new shirt sleeve sponsor to replace the £1m-a-year-deal they had with the Finnish video game developer.

It is understood there have been a number of interested parties and discussions are on-going.

But the Blues will kick-off the new campaign tomorrow, against Tottenham Hotspur, without a sleeve sponsor.

Everton start the season with a new kit designed by hummel and a new front of shirt sponsor in Cazoo.

USM Holdings - in the form of MegaFon - continue to be the club's training kit sleeve sponsor.
