Everton to honour Man City tickets for fans hit by Thomas Cook collapse

Everton will honour all tickets purchased through Thomas Cook for this weekend's game with Manchester City following the collapse of the travel firm.

Thomas Cook Sport had been the Blues' official match breaks partner until the company went into administration on Monday.

Everton and Thomas Cook had a working relationship that spanned over a decade and a new deal was struck in early 2018 to extend the partnership.

However, the travel operator went bust on Monday after talks to save the 178-year-old firm failed leaving holiday makers stranded and putting thousands of jobs at risk.

The collapse also impacts the 50 Blues' fans who have booked tickets and hotel packages for this weekend's game with City through the company.

But Everton have told the ECHO they will honour those ticket purchases and those fans will still have a seat at Goodison for the 5:30pm kick-off.

The Blues are now working to make contact with those supporters who have bought tickets for future fixtures at Goodison after City's visit this

weekend.

Everton release statement with info for fans impacted by Thomas Cook collapse

It remains unclear if Everton , one of 10 Premier League clubs who had worked with the travel firm, are owed money by Thomas Cook as part of the new commercial agreement struck in 2018.
